The City of Surrey is proposing a 7% property tax increase. The proposal includes a six percent hike in general property tax and a one percent increase in its roads and traffic levy.
The city believes that for an average single-family home, it will add $177 per year. But this proposal is missing a key figure in the city’s future — the transition to the municipal police force SPS.
