My name is Jugpreet Bajwa and I am a singer based out of Vancouver, BC. When I was 6 months old I was diagnosed with retinoblastoma eye cancer and both of my eyes were enucleated surgically and since then I am totally blind. Singing is my passion and I want to make it as my career.
I have won numerous singing competitions in Canada as well as internationally. In 2016 I participated in ZeeTV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa singing competition, for which almost 137,000 contestants came from all over the world for auditions. This competition lasted for 6 months and was televised in 165 countries all over the world. You will be happy to know that in that competition I placed as the 2nd runner up. This competition was judged by four renowned judges from the bollywood music industry, along with 30 jury members who marked the contestants individually. Apart from that, public voting was also counted for each contestant.
I am a versatile singer trained in different genres of music, I have also done my degree in Indian classical music as well as Western classical music. So far I have sang in 16 different languages. In the past, I have released 3 full music albums and one single. My latest single titled, ” You and I” was just released recently, in which my father and I both wrote the lyrics.
