Police are seeking witnesses after a tourist fell from a cliff in North Vancouver’s Lynn Canyon Park on Monday.
Emergency responders were called around 12:30 p.m. after reports that a woman, an American in her 50s, had fallen 30 metres into Lynn Creek.
Firefighters rescued her by helicopter, and she was transported to hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
Authorities say the woman was part of a guided group tour near the north side of the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge when the fall occurred.
“Police are investigating to better understand the circumstances leading up to the incident,” said Constable Mansoor Sahak on Tuesday. “We are asking anyone who witnessed the fall or recorded it to come forward.”
