The Sea to Sky Highway was temporarily shut down Sunday night following a crash involving two motorcyclists.
According to the West Vancouver Police Department, officers were called to the highway’s southbound lanes near Horseshoe Bay Drive at around 7 p.m.
Police stated on Monday, “Two motorcyclists traveling together in the same lane collided, causing one of the riders to lose control and leave the roadway before making contact with the rock wall.”
Paramedics performed life-sustaining measures until a woman was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) team investigated the scene throughout the night, and police are still seeking witnesses.
