White Rock shooting under investigation. Police connect it to extortion

White Rock RCMP is investigating a shooting that took place early Wednesday morning and is asking anyone with information to come forward. 

On August 27, 2025, White Rock RCMP received a delayed report of gunfire at a residence in the 15500-block of Pacific Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found evidence consistent with a shooting, though no injuries were reported. 

The Lower Mainland Integrated Forensic Identification Services attended the scene to process evidence. 

Police determined, through canvassing, that the shooting occurred between approximately 3:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on August 27. Investigators continue to canvass the area for surveillance footage and are speaking with potential witnesses. 

Preliminary information suggests this was a targeted incident linked to extortion. White Rock RCMP is working with investigators from the Lower Mainland Joint Force Operation (JFO) and the RCMP National Coordination and Support Team to assess any connections to other ongoing investigations.
