Vancouver Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 38-year-old Penh “Chad” You, who is wanted across Canada for multiple firearms offences.
The investigation began in April 2023 after VPD received a report that You had threatened a woman with a firearm during a verbal dispute and allegedly made several other threatening statements.
Police executed search warrants at multiple properties linked to You, seizing 11 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
On March 21, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada approved six charges against You:
Possession of a firearm without a license
Contravening regulations of the Firearms Act
Possession of an unauthorized firearm
Possession in an unauthorized location
Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
Failure to report a lost or stolen firearm
You is approximately 6 feet tall, weighs 170 pounds, and has a medium build, with short black hair and brown eyes.
