Toronto police have announced that a 12-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man have been charged in a series of violent, unprovoked attacks targeting vulnerable people in the city. One of the attacks resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man.
Police say all the assaults occurred over a three-and-a-half-hour period on the morning of August 31st in Toronto’s downtown core. Authorities noted that none of the victims knew the suspects before the assaults, describing all the attacks as “unprovoked.”
Investigators have confirmed that one of the victims, a 62-year-old man, died from injuries sustained during the assault.
