Metro Vancouver Transit Police say three Burnaby residents have been arrested and over $200,000 in stolen luxury goods recovered in connection with an alleged theft ring.

The arrests followed a Sept. 13 search of a home linked to a Facebook Marketplace seller suspected of offering stolen merchandise. Officers found 14 large bags filled with luxury items—many still with retail tags—along with $3,805 in cash believed to be crime proceeds.

Const. Amanda Steed noted that large-scale retail thieves often use transit hubs near malls as escape routes and later return to transit property to sell stolen goods to unsuspecting buyers.

A 46-year-old man, a 30-year-old man, and a 53-year-old woman were taken into custody. Police are recommending charges of possession and trafficking of stolen property.
