Surrey RCMP is currently investigating a confirmed shooting in the Newton area.
At approximately 11 pm on Aug 4th, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 14400 block of 72nd avenue. Upon arrival, responding officers located an unoccupied business that had several bullet holes in it. No persons were injured during the incident.
The investigation is progressing and investigators are seeking out surveillance video and interviewing witnesses and property representatives. The motive for the incident is currently unknown.
According to many social media posts Crime scene tape was up at Sukh Hair and Beauty Salon with dozens of officers canvassing the area on Monday. Four large bullet holes could be seen in the glass.
