Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers are investigating a shooting incident at the Royal King Banquet Hall, located in the Payal Business Centre on 128 Street.
According to police, damage to the exterior of the banquet hall was discovered by staff around 1:00 am on July 21, 2025. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 11:00 am, where it was confirmed that the damage was consistent with gunfire.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported from the banquet hall or surrounding businesses. At this time, it remains unclear when the shots were fired or if the banquet hall was the intended target.
Sources indicate that a party had just concluded at the venue shortly before the shooting, but there is no confirmation yet if the incident is related to the event. Investigators have also not determined whether this was connected to extortion or other criminal activity, which has been a growing concern in the region in recent months.
Police are appealing to anyone with dashcam footage or information from the area during the early hours of July 21 to come forward and assist in the investigation.
