Surrey Memorial Hospital’s new unit featuring two cardiac catheterization suites is operational today while two interventional radiology suites scheduled to open Jan. 8, 2026. Talking to RED FM News Director Harjinder Thind, Parliamentary Secretary for Surrey Infrastructure Garry Begg says these will be the first cardiac catheterization suites located south of the Fraser River, allowing patients to receive urgent cardiac treatment closer to home.
