A woman was hospitalized with injuries suffered during a shooting at a Surrey home Sunday night, said Surrey Police Service.
The Surrey Police Service said officers responded to reports of shots fired outside a residence in the 12100 block of 101B Avenue just after 9 p.m.
“SPS officers arrived and (found) one person, an adult woman, inside who had been injured. She was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” the department wrote in a statement Monday.
There were several other people in the home at the time, but they were not injured in the incident, according to police.
While on the way to the scene of the shooting, two officers in an SPS SUV with lights and sirens activated collided with another vehicle in the 12500 block of 96 Avenue.
The two officers were taken to hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries” and the people in the other vehicle were unhurt, according to the department.
