According to the Department of Homeland Security, Singh is in the United States illegally, and an Immigration Detainer has been placed on him.
Authorities said Singh was driving a Freightliner semi-truck and failed to stop in time when traffic in his lane had slowed or stopped on Tuesday afternoon. The Multi-Vehicle Crash killed three people and injured at least three others, according to the complaint.
