The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced a historic narcotics seizure at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon port of entry, leading to the arrest and charging of a foreign national.
The incident occurred on November 22, 2025, when border services officers inspected a commercial truck returning to Canada from the United States. During the examination, the CBSA Detector Dog Team alerted officers to the vehicle’s trailer. A thorough search revealed 12 boxes concealed within the truck and trailer, containing a staggering 314 kg of methamphetamine.
This interception officially represents the largest narcotics recovery ever recorded at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon port of entry.
The driver of the truck, identified as Satnam Singh, was arrested at the scene. Following the initial arrest, custody was transferred to the RCMP Federal Policing Pacific Region, Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET) for further investigation.
Satnam Singh has been formally charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of importation.
Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the CBSA reaffirmed its dedication to national security. “The agency remains steadfast in its commitment to keeping our borders secure and preventing the supply of dangerous drugs from entering our communities,” the report noted.
