Two men have been arrested and charged after the Chilliwack RCMP uncovered an alleged clandestine drug laboratory used to produce fentanyl and MDMA.

Chilliwack RCMP officers executed search warrants at two homes and two storage lockers, leading them to the alleged drug lab at a property on South Sumas Road.

Police stated the investigation began earlier this year and led officers to suspects Justin Fauth (35) and Carlos Martinez (37), who were both arrested last Thursday.

Mounties seized the men’s vehicles, and subsequent searches turned up fentanyl along with “significant” amounts of precursor chemicals and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Both Fauth and Martinez have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and remain in custody after appearing in Chilliwack Provincial Court.
