Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating after reports of gunfire and burning vehicles in Maple Ridge early Saturday morning.
On February 7, 2026, at about 4:45 a.m., officers responded to the 12700 block of 227B Street, where two vehicles were found engulfed in flames in the driveway of a home. Police also located evidence that shots had been fired at the residence.
The occupants of the home were safely evacuated, and Maple Ridge Fire & Rescue crews extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
The RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit has taken over the investigation, which remains in its early stages. Officers are reviewing surveillance video from the area and speaking with witnesses in an effort to identify potential suspects or vehicles. Investigators say all possibilities are being considered.
