Ridge Meadows RCMP is investigating a fatal vehicle accident that occurred this morning in Pitt Meadows
At approximately 2:40 AM today, Ridge Meadows RCMP frontline officers responded to reports of a serious vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the 18900 block of Lougheed Highway in Pitt Meadows.
Upon arrival, police determined that the female pedestrian had died.
The Investigational Support Team (IST), Serious Crimes Unit (SCU), and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Team (ICARS) were called to assist with the investigation.
The highway was closed westbound for several hours following the collision.
Authorities state that this is currently an active and ongoing investigation, and no further information is available at this time
