As military tensions escalate across the Middle East, Global Affairs Canada has revealed that more than 85,000 Canadian citizens and permanent residents are currently present in the region. According to government data, the largest concentrations of Canadians are located in Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The specific breakdown of registered Canadians includes:

Lebanon: 23,165

United Arab Emirates: 23,064

Israel: 6,006

Iran: 2,921

Palestinian Territories: 438

Safety Status and Government Response
Despite the ongoing hostilities between regional powers, Global Affairs Canada confirmed in a statement that there have been no reports of Canadian casualties or injuries resulting from the current military actions.

The federal government continues to monitor the situation around the clock. Officials are urging all Canadians in the region to remain vigilant, follow local safety protocols, and maintain contact with the Emergency Watch and Response Centre in Ottawa as the geopolitical situation remains volatile.
