Nearly 270 kg of suspected meth seized at Blue Water Bridge, Ontario driver charged

On February 4, 2026, a commercial truck entering Canada from the United States at the Blue Water Bridge was directed to secondary inspection by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). 

While examining the trailer, border officers, assisted by a detector dog, discovered 16 duffle bags containing suspected methamphetamine with a combined weight of 266.4 kilograms. 

Kulbir Singh, 29, of Woodstock, Ontario, was arrested by the CBSA and turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) along with the seized drugs. He has been charged with importation of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. 

The case is now before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia, and the charges have yet to be tested in court. The investigation remains ongoing. 

Since January 1, 2025, CBSA officers in Southern Ontario have seized a total of 616.5 kilograms of methamphetamine entering Canada from the United States.
