A 47-year-old motorcyclist died on Sunday night after losing control of his bike in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 1 in Langley. According to the Langley RCMP, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. between 264th and 248th Streets. The man was traveling westbound when he crashed into a semi-trailer truck moving in the same direction.
Multiple units from the Langley RCMP, BC Emergency Health Services, and the Township of Langley Fire Department responded to the scene, as confirmed by BC Highway Patrol. Despite their efforts, the 47-year-old man died at the scene.
RCMP Sgt. Zainal Sharum stated that the highway was very busy at the time of the crash, and numerous witnesses are cooperating with the investigation. The driver of the semi-trailer truck was not physically injured and is also cooperating with authorities.
