Mission RCMP searching for convicted woman, who failed to appear for sentencing

Mission RCMP are seeking the public’s help to locate 47-year-old Julie Matthew, who has an outstanding warrant for her arrest after she failed to appear in court for her sentencing.

Matthew was recently convicted in BC Supreme Court on charges of robbery, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of stolen property, all stemming from a 2022 incident in Deroche.

Police have released a photo of Matthew and noted that she has a small, mono-colour tattoo on the left side of her neck. She is known to have connections to the communities of Hope, Langley, and Surrey, but may have traveled elsewhere.

Anyone with information that could help locate Julie Matthew is asked to call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161, referencing file number 22-4299. If you see Julie, you are advised to contact your local police immediately.
