A man has been arrested following a stabbing at Capilano Mall in North Vancouver on Sunday morning.
According to the North Vancouver RCMP, officers were called to the Marine Drive mall around 9:45 a.m. after reports of a fight between two men. Upon arrival, police found a man with stab wounds, who was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A suspect at the scene was taken into custody.
Authorities say the investigation is in its early stages, but the incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
On Monday, North Vancouver resident Howard Hough was charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Police are asking anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311, referencing file number 25-19557.
“There are a lot of unanswered questions that police are seeking answers for,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mansoor Sahak.
