Man seriously injured in Kitsilano bus stabbing, suspect arrested

A 22-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries after a stabbing incident on a bus in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighborhood early yesterday morning.

Police stated that officers responded shortly before 3 a.m. to reports of someone being stabbed on a bus near the Burrard Street bridge.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim with serious injuries. He was immediately taken to the hospital. The suspect, a 28-year-old man, was arrested near Burrard Street and Cornwall Avenue.

Police confirmed the suspect remains in custody. He faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
