The high-profile murder trial of four men accused of killing Surrey Sikh temple president Hardeep Singh Nijjar has been postponed once again.

During a court appearance on October 7, New Westminster Justice Terry Schultes adjourned the proceedings to a case management conference set for November 20, with another hearing scheduled for December 15. A publication ban remains in effect on details shared during Tuesday’s hearing.

Nijjar, 45, was fatally shot on June 18, 2023, in the parking lot of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, located in the 7000 block of Scott Road in Newton. His body was found inside his truck.

Four men — Amandeep Singh, Karan Brar, Kamalpreet Singh, and Karanpreet Singh — are facing charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Meanwhile, Sikhs for Justice held what it called a “peaceful protest” outside the courthouse during Tuesday’s hearing.
