A special coffee truck was set up to attract health-care professionals to British Columbia’s health-care sector by offering free coffee to doctors, nurses, and allied health workers in Seattle on June 18 and 19, 2025. The initiative is part of a focused U.S. marketing campaign.
“Connecting with health-care workers in Seattle over a cup of coffee allows us to engage with them directly and showcase the many advantages of working in our beautiful, welcoming province,” said Health Minister Josie Osborne. “These two days are part of our larger effort to recruit medical professionals from the U.S. to help strengthen our public health-care system—one that prioritizes patients and is based on evidence-driven care.”
The coffee truck was positioned near health-care facilities, where brand ambassadors spoke directly with staff, providing details about job opportunities and the benefits of working in B.C. Seattle was chosen as a key target due to the strong interest shown from the region since the province launched its U.S. recruitment campaign. Health-care workers are encouraged to visit B.C.’s recruitment website to explore available roles and access personalized support to assist with relocation.
This initiative is part of a larger U.S. marketing campaign that launched on June 2, 2025, in select cities across Washington, Oregon, and California.
