Electronic Waste & Recycling

 

More than 80% of British Columbians have at least 2-4 electronic device at home. And if you receive another high-tech gadget this holiday season, you might be wondering what to do with those obsolete items? Craig Wisehart, Executive Director of Electronic Products Recycling Association of BC wants to ensure old devices are sent to an authorized drop-off location so they can be recycled safely and securely. Craig says in the last 10 years, some 190,000 metric tonnes of electronics have been recycled. That works out to more than 3 million devices diverted from landfills and our environment.
