A significant police presence was observed earlier today near 128 Street and 67A Avenue as members of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) carried out a search operation at a residential property suspected of being involved in drug trafficking activities.
The operation, which began in the morning, saw officers cordon off the area for nearly three hours. Multiple police vehicles, tactical units, and forensic teams were seen at the site. The area was fully secured and access restricted to ensure public safety and the integrity of the investigation. The cordon was lifted around 12:30 PM, following the conclusion of the primary search.

According to CFSEU-BC officials, one individual was arrested during the operation. While authorities have not yet disclosed the identity or specific charges laid against the person, the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation targeting organized drug-related crimes in the region.
The owner of the property, who arrived at the scene shortly after being informed, stated that the house was rented to several individuals, and he was unaware of who was arrested or whether the person was a tenant or a guest. “I don’t know the full details,” he said. “I had no idea something like this was happening.”
Neighbours also expressed concern and confusion. “We don’t know who the person was that got arrested,” one resident shared. “But there were always new faces at that house. It’s worrying when rental homes are not monitored closely by landlords.”
CFSEU-BC continues to investigate the case as part of its broader mandate to combat organized crime in the province. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods to local police.
