A driver of an SUV died in a car crash in Langley on Monday morning, the third traffic-related death in the area in the past eight days.
“On August 11, at approximately 8:25 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision near the 25600 block of 56 Avenue in Langley,” authorities said. Officers who arrived at the scene determined that a SUV and a commercial flat deck truck were involved.
“Sadly, the driver of the SUV sustained catastrophic injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Langley RCMP Sergeant Zynal Sharoom.
“Several witnesses, along with the driver of the flat deck truck, remained at the scene and are fully cooperating with the investigation.” The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
