North Vancouver RCMP have released dash cam video as they investigate a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian in a wheelchair seriously injured last week.
Police say the incident occurred just after 8 p.m. on Feb. 5 at the intersection of West 3rd Street and Bewicke Avenue. Investigators believe the pedestrian was crossing West 3rd Street in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle turning left struck them and fled the scene.
The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where they are expected to recover. Mounties have described the suspect vehicle as a grey sedan.
RCMP are urging anyone with surveillance or dash cam footage to come forward and are also calling on the driver involved to contact police to help clarify what happened.
