Prime Minister Mark Carney has departed for London, U.K., where he will meet with political and business leaders in an effort to find new economic opportunities for Canadians.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Canada is looking to strengthen and diversify its international partnerships to build economic power and flexibility in a rapidly changing global landscape.
Carney will be in London from September 25 to 28, where he is scheduled to meet with heads of state, business leaders, and institutional investors.
During his visit, he will also hold meetings with the prime ministers of the United Kingdom, Iceland, Australia, Spain, and Denmark. Carney is seeking to deepen trade relations with these nations and discuss global issues, including lasting peace in Europe and the Middle East.
