Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a 24-year-old man charged in connection with the 2024 murder of a Surrey woman.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is asking for the public’s help in locating Amarbir Singh, who has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Navdeep Kaur.

Kaur was reported missing by her family to Surrey police on Feb. 23, 2024. Investigators with the Missing Persons Unit gathered evidence that led them to believe she had been the victim of a homicide, and IHIT took over the case in March 2024.

Police continued searching for Kaur, who was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 22, 2024, in the 7800 block of 123 Street in Surrey. Human remains discovered on July 23, 2024, were later confirmed to be hers.

After months of investigation and evidence review, the case was submitted to the B.C. Prosecution Service. On March 6, 2026, Singh was charged with second-degree murder. Police say the two were in a relationship at the time of Kaur’s disappearance.

Investigators believe Singh may have fled the country but say they will continue working with international law enforcement partners to locate and arrest him.

Anyone with information about Singh’s whereabouts is asked to contact IHIT at 1-877-551-4448 or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
