Amid a string of continuous shooting incidents plaguing the lower mainland, in yet another overnight attack shots were fired at Indian cuisine restaurant, Ustaad G 76 in South Surrey.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers are investigating an overnight shooting incident that resulted in property damage to a South Surrey business.

Police said in a statement that SPS Frontline officers responded to calls of possible shots fired just after 2:20 a.m. on October 6 outside a business located in the 2100 block of King George Boulevard, Surrey. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the exterior of the building had been damaged by gunfire. The business was closed at the time, no staff members were inside, and there were no reports of any injuries.

Officers remain on the scene and are examining the area for physical and digital evidence.

SPS is asking anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the area betwen 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. to contact the non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 (file number 25-85681) or Crime Stoppers.

The business targeted is a branch of an Indian restaurant chain, which had another one of its locations targeted in a similar shooting incident just last month. On September 27, another Ustaad G76 location was targeted by gunfire. The Ridge Meadows RCMP responded around 3 a.m. to the restaurant on Lougheed Highway near 218 Street in Maple Ridge.
