Health officials in B.C. are urging holiday shoppers not to buy e-scooters for children, reminding the public that riders must be at least 16 due to injury risks. Under the province’s Electric Kick Scooter Pilot Project, e-scooters are allowed only in participating communities and must meet rules such as a 25 km/h maximum speed and mandatory helmet use.
