The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating another shooting incident after reports of shots fired at a residence in the 13400 block of 89A Avenue.

Police received the report on the morning of August 25, although investigators believe the shooting took place during the early morning hours. Upon arrival, officers located evidence confirming that a single shot had been fired. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

At this time, there is no suspect information, and investigators say there is no indication the incident is connected to recent extortion-related shootings in the area.

The community remains on edge following a string of recent violent events. Just days earlier, shots were fired at a business in the York Business Centre, an incident believed to be linked to an ongoing extortion scheme. Prior to that, a car wash owner at 1313 was reportedly targeted.

Despite the series of incidents, no arrests have been made so far, and residents in affected neighbourhood are expressing growing concern over their safety.

SPS continues to investigate all of the incidents and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
