Burnaby RCMP investigate reported threat at north side high school

Just before 1:00 p.m., on March 9, 2026, Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a reported threat at Burnaby North Secondary School, located at 751 Hammarskjold Drive. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was initially placed into lock-down, which has since been lifted. Police have cleared the school and currently do not believe there is a credible threat. 

Police will remain on scene while the investigation continues.
