Three men arrested on February 1, 2026, by Surrey Police Service (SPS) following a shots-fired incident have now been charged with Criminal Code offences.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:50 a.m. in Surrey’s Crescent Beach neighbourhood near Crescent Road and 132 Street, where reports came in of shots fired and a small fire outside a residence. The suspects were arrested shortly afterward near 28 Avenue and 140 Street after attempting to leave in a rideshare vehicle.
Harjot Singh, 21, Taranveer Singh, 19, and Dayajeet Singh Billing, 21, each face one count of discharging a firearm into a place contrary to section 244.2(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be laid. All three have been remanded in custody until February 5, 2026. SPS has confirmed they are foreign nationals and has engaged Canada Border Services Agency.
SPS has released the suspects’ photos to encourage witnesses, victims, or associates to come forward with information. Anyone with details, including CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to contact SPS’s non-emergency line at 604-599-0502, quoting file 26-10642 (SP).
