A tragic accident occurred in the Fort Langley area of Metro Vancouver on Thursday morning, resulting in the death of a pedestrian and their dog after they were struck by a train. The Langley RCMP are currently conducting a serious investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
According to Langley RCMP, the incident was reported at approximately 7:44 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The collision took place near the busy intersection of Glover Road and Billy Brown Road.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the call and immediately began life-saving measures on the pedestrian. Despite their best efforts, the victim’s injuries were too severe, and they were pronounced dead at the scene. Reports indicate that the pedestrian’s dog was also killed in the collision.
Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased or further specifics regarding the cause of the accident. To facilitate the ongoing investigation, several roads in the immediate vicinity have been closed, and motorists are being advised to seek alternate routes. CN Police also attended the scene to assist in the inquiry.
