A major new study published in one of the U.K.’s leading medical journals has found the strongest evidence yet that there is no link between pregnant women taking Tylenol and autism in their children.

Researchers writing in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Women’s Health analyzed data from 60 separate studies. Some of the most compelling evidence came from comparisons of siblings within the same families. The researchers found no association between a mother’s use of acetaminophen during pregnancy and autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability in her child — even in long-term studies and those that carefully accounted for factors that could affect the results.
