The Toronto Police Service is requesting public assistance in identifying a woman wanted in connection with a series of “anti-India” vandalism incidents that have occurred across the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) network over the past six months. Investigators are currently treating these incidents as suspected hate-motivated crimes.

According to police reports, the series of property damage incidents took place between July 3 and December 21 of this year. Authorities received multiple reports of graffiti and vandalism at various TTC stations and on subway trains. The suspect is alleged to have repeatedly written offensive, anti-India messages in public areas of the transit system.

In an effort to identify the individual, investigators have released a surveillance photograph taken on December 21. The suspect is described as a woman who was seen wearing distinctive earmuffs, a long black winter coat, brown boots, and a white-and-brown patterned scarf.

The Toronto Police Service’s Hate Crime Unit is involved in the ongoing investigation. Officials emphasized that such acts of vandalism targeting a specific community are taken very seriously. They have urged anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to contact the authorities or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
