The Delhi Police have identified the two shooters involved in the recent firing incidents at actor-comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Canada. The suspects — Sharry, also known as Gurjot, and Daljot Rehal — are allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to police sources.
The breakthrough came during the interrogation of Bandhu Maan Singh Sekhon, who was arrested last month in connection with the shooting outside Sharma’s Kaps Café in Surrey, Canada. Investigators learned that Singh had provided the weapons and logistical support used by the shooters, who allegedly carried out at least three attacks on the café since July.
Kapil Sharma’s high-profile café, which opened in British Columbia in July, was targeted with sophisticated firearms on July 10, August 7, and October 16.
Sources revealed that Singh supplied weapons and a vehicle to Goldy Dhillon, a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, under instructions from gangster Sonu Khatri, also known as Rajesh. Khatri’s cousins, Daljot and Sharry, allegedly fired the shots in all three attacks on Kaps Café.
Police sources also said that the mastermind behind the shootings has now been identified. “The two shooters of Punjabi origin — Sharry and Diljot Rehal — carried out the attacks on the instructions of an alleged gangster named Seepu,” officials said.
Following the Crime Branch’s arrest of Bandhu Maan Singh Sekhon on November 28, Canadian police and central agencies have also named Sukhwinder Singh Seepu of Brahmpur, along with two other Punjabi youths, Sharry and Diljot. Although Ludhiana Rural Police have remained tight-lipped about the developments, senior officers from Raikot Police have been advised to monitor the activities of Seepu’s associates closely.
