A house in Maple Ridge was reportedly targeted by gunfire for the second time this year in an incident believed to be related to the ongoing wave of extortion threats.

According to initial information, the house, located at 266 Street and 124 Avenue, was shot at around 2:30 AM last night.

It is reported that the residence belongs to an individual associated with a popular Punjabi singer. The homeowner is said to have already left the country due to prior extortion threats.

The same house was previously targeted by gunfire earlier this year on May 30.

The RCMP has launched an investigation into the latest incident. Authorities have confirmed that there was no one inside the house at the time of the shooting.
