The RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) is investigating yet another overnight shooting incident, this time targeting a residential home. This latest attack comes amid a recent surge of shooting incidents across the Lower Mainland.
Police in a statement said just after 2:00 a.m. on October 6, 2025, SPOSU officers responded to reports of possible shots fired at a residence located in the 10700 block of 141 Street, Surrey. “Upon arrival, police confirmed that the exterior of the home had been damaged by gunfire. Several people were inside the residence at the time of the attack, but fortunately, no injuries were reported,” it added.
Officers remain on the scene to gather physical and digital evidence. At this early stage of the investigation, the motive for the shooting is still undetermined, and police have not yet established any links to the active extortion investigations that have been the focus of recent police action in the area.
Authorities are appealing to the public for help. Anyone with information about this incident, or who was in the 10700 block of 141 Street between 1:30 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. and witnessed suspicious activity, is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 (quoting file number 25-56325 (SU)) or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
