Prince George RCMP is investigating a shooting that occurred on the 2000-block of Quince Street in Prince George on Sunday morning.
Frontline police officers responded to a report of a 22-year-old man who was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
“The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial findings indicate this was likely a targeted event and there is no increased risk to the general public,” said Cst. Jenna Moore, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “If anyone in the neighbourhood witnessed the event or saw something suspicious, we ask that they please contact the Prince George RCMP to speak with police.”
The investigation is currently with the Investigative Support Team, which is actively working to identify a suspect.
