A small plane crash near the Ottawa airport has resulted in the death of the pilot and injuries to two passengers.
Local paramedics reported that the aircraft crashed into trees yesterday evening. Emergency crews worked to extricate the three occupants from the wreckage.
Officials confirmed that the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. A man and a woman were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the incident.
