Abbotsford has become the latest Canadian city to deny a permit for a concert by Sean Feucht, an American Christian musician who is a vocal supporter of the “Make America Great Again” movement, popularized by U.S. President Donald Trump.
A statement from the city said the permit for a show at Mill Lake Park on August 24 was denied due to the potential for protests and counter-protests.
Feucht is scheduled to perform in West Kelowna later this month. The city there has stated it is currently reviewing the safety and security plans for the private booking.
