LANGLEY, B.C. – Langley RCMP is investigating after a shooting near Meadows Edge Park left a 48-year-old man injured.
Mounties confirmed they received reports of gunshots just after 5:30 p.m. yesterday in the Langley Meadows neighborhood, specifically around Willoughby Way and 200 Street.
“Frontline officers attended the scene and located evidence consistent with a shooting,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom in a statement.
Police say the 48-year-old victim was taken to the hospital for assessment with injuries that are considered non-life-threatening.
“The investigation is still in its early stages, and police are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting,” Sharoom added. “Motorists and other road users can expect road closures in the area as we continue our investigation.”
